Mr. Pradip Pandit, a true entrepreneur, hails from a district of the historical town of Nuwakot, geographically located in central Nepal. Nuwakot is approx 70 kilometers from the ancient capital city of Kathmandu. This vibrant town was the medieval capital of a divided Nepal in the old world prior to its unification by the great warrior King Prithvi Narayan Shah.

- First Vice President of the Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN). He was popularly voted to this prestigious position unanimously in the year 2022. TAAN is an umbrella association of Trekking agencies in Nepal.
- Treasurer of the “Association of Kailash Tour Operators Nepal (AKTON)” Since 2020, Pradip Pandit was also elected to the Senior Position of Treasurer “AKTON” the largest Mt. Kailash pilgrimage tours operators body in Nepal.
Academics central priority early on…
Like any kind of business, good ideas are generally born early out of your own experience. Pradip’s began with the realisation that without education, he wasn’t going to get anywhere in life. Having completed secondary level education from his place of birth, Pradip moved up to Kathmandu for higher education. He completed his Bachelors degree in Humanities and Social Science from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu. It was the study in these particular subjects that spurred on Pradip Pandit to make the key choice of a profession close to his heart in the months ahead.

In the course of studies for his degree, Pradip Pandit discovered a fierce zeal to live an independent life & earn for his survival instead of depending on his parents for a living. He soon enough found employment in a hotel & went on to serve in a well established trekking company. This all began in the year 2007. This is where his dynamic characteristics came to the fore. Besides doing several trips on mountain trails, Pradip Pandit also developed some exquisite administrative & organisational skills which prepared him for the bigger things to come. Pradip’s instincts soon enough told him that it was time to escape the 10 am to 6 pm grind of an employee. While in the services of working for the tourism industry, he met a lot of people along the way who seemed to be facing the same sort of challenges and issues, so that’s how the ideas of breaking free were formed in the corner of his mind.

But of course building the business or practices around [that initial idea] takes a different type of skill and a different type of tenacity.
Mr. Pradip Pandit’s versatile characteristics & dynamic mindset combined to get him take the plunge. The die was cast: the year was 2017. Pradip Pandit launched his new company ‘Alpine Kailash Trek Pvt. Ltd.’’
From that momentous year onwards, Pradip Pandit has never looked back. He began his career as an entrepreneur fairly early. At a very young age of just 26, Pradip was couragious enough to invest his life’s savings & establish a company which has today, become a company to reckon with. Alpine Kailash Trek Pvt. Ltd was formed to operate adventure tourism with its core field experience in organising pilgrimage tours to Mt. Kailash & Mansarovar Lake in Tibet. Alpine Kailash Trek began its operations overnight. It began exporting Nepal’s tourism to the world within two weeks of its launching. This was master feat for a young budding tourism entrepreneur.

After aggressively pushing the company forward, Mr. Pandit decided it was now time to present his company to the world. Perhaps, more than this, his goal was to use his company as an international platform to promote Nepal’s natural Nature as the hottest destination for wilderness adventures globally. Within six years of establishing Alpine Kailash Trek, He visited much of Asia & Europe to countries which included: India, China,Malaysia, Singapore , France, Holland, Spain,Italy, Belgium & Germany etcetera. Pradip Pandit built his company from the ground up. His marketing strategies paid big dividends. Alpine Kailash Trek Pvt. Ltd has earned a formidable reputation the world over today.
A Practical Vision for the Challenges ahead…
Right from its inception, Pradip Pandip wanted to practice a simple philosophy for his company Alpine Kailash Trek; to provide high quality wilderness adventure holidays for small groups of like-minded travellers with a strong association to responsible tourism practice and a commitment to supporting local communities at every level of the operation in areas it escorts its guests to.
Believing that adventure empowers young people, Pradip wishes to begin working with schools and youth groups. He wants this sentiment to morph into working with hundreds of schools & colleges across the world to deliver purposeful travel experiences for students, many of which he hopes will understand a part of Service & learning work while enjoying gap year vacations. With trips that will go beyond borders into Bhutan, Tibet & India, Pradip wishes to deliver solid benefits to communities in developing countries and offer life skills for the next generation of travellers to come.
