Mount Pisang Peak, rising from Yak Pasture above the village in a uniform slope, is one of most popular trekking peaks in Nepal. It is located on the way to “Thorong La Pass”, one of highest mountain pass in the world, and serves very best scope of exploration and discovery. Pisang peak expedition commands the surreal view of Annapurna, Tilicho, Gangapurna, Dhaulagiri and numbers of other snowy peaks. Pisang Peak was first summited by German expedition team in 1995.
Pisang Peak climbing adventure begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to North West at Lamjung and Manang Area. The trekking route joins the main Annapurna circuit trail besides raging glacial of Marsyangdi River. We climb north via beautiful Buddhist village of Dharapani, Chame and Pisang with majestic view of snowy-peaks and picturesque valleys filled with thick forest of rhododendron, pine and fir. The tree line starts vanishing and changes into short alpine scrubs as we climb the higher reaches of Pisang village.
The trek continue towards Piang Peak Base Camp, the starting point of Pisang Peak summit expedition. Our climbing leaders will provide training on Pisang Peak expedition technique and the best way of using climbing gears such as the ice axe, crampons, harness, ropes, ascender, descender etc. We strongly believe that pre-climbing training will boost up your confidence and enhance your climbing skill to scale the summit safely and successfully. Pisang Peak climbing trip is graded as “PD + from Swills/French Alpine Grading System” and it involves straightforward climb with some technical part on the climbing route to the top of peak.
