20 Days Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho Lake and Poon Hill is the complete trek around Annapurna massif with the exploration of Tilicho Lake- the world’s highest lake and Poon Hill – famous viewpoint in Nepal after Kalapatthar. This trek allows you to savor different ethnic group with their own distinctive language and culture, incredible Himalayan peaks and contrast landscapes varying from lush, tropical paddies, moss-laden rhododendron forest to alpine scrubs.
Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake and Poon Hill trek starts with a drive to Syange. We climb up along the Marsyangdi river valley enjoying the alluring view of Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri and numerous 6,000+ peaks. The trail follow the route of Annapurna circuit trail until Manang and from Manang, wind to the mail valley to the west and trek high up to Tilicho Lake. We hike down to join main Annapurna circuit route and cross the Thorong La Pass- the highest pass in the world. Further, we ascend Poon Hill ridge which is famous for stunning sunrise view and Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.
En rotue- you will visit the Tibetan influenced village of Manang (locally known as Nyasyang with 6 major villages), Jomson/Muktinath just beyond the pass and multiple small and quaint villages. Muktinath is sacred spiritual sites for both Buddhism and Hinduism followers. The entire trekking route is great combination of nature with lush cultivated fields, verdant subtropical and tropical forest and great mixture of ethnic tribe.
