Kathmandu Pokhara & Chitwan Tour

After breakfast, we set for full day guided tour around Kathmandu. We visit the ancient monumental and heritage sites that are protected by UNESCO world heritage site. First, we explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, the Palace of an ancient King of Nepal and also visit “Kumari”, the living goddess.

Next, we drive towards Swayambhunath Stupa located half an hour away from Durbar Square. Swayambhunath, 2000 years old monkey temple, is perched over the ridge of small ridge that overlooks the entire Kathmandu valley and verdant hills surrounding the valley. Afterwards, we visit Pashupatinath, one of major religious sites for Hindu.

Although entering inside the main gate of temple is strictly prohibited, we can enjoy the view of temple and on-going religious activities from the vantage point located near the bank of Bagmati River. After exploration, we proceed for Boudhanath stupa, one of the largest stupa in Nepal.

It is major spiritual spot for Tibetan Buddhist. If time permits, we also visit UNESCO designated Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur city. We then drive back to hotel and rest overnight.

After breakfast, we drive to Pokhara along the bank of Trishuli River enjoying the countryside landscapes and cultivated fields. Upon your arrival at Pokhara, you will be transferred to hotel in Lakeside. Afternoon, make a lazy walk around Lakeside and enjoy boating in Phewa Lake followed by sunset to Annapurna Himalayan Range and Pooja ceremony to Hindu goddess Tal Barahi Temple.

After breakfast, we proceed to explore Davis waterfall, Guptseshwor Mahadev cave, Tibetan refugee camp, historical museum and international mountaineering museum.

Today, we make pre-dawn drive to the hilltop of Sarangkot. The view of sunrise and Himalayan range is enticing. After breakfast, we leave Pokhara behind and drive to Chitwan National Park, one of Asia’s best preserved natural habitat. It shelters great one horned rhino, royal Bengal tiger and many other endangered animals, birds and aquatic lives.

After short refreshment at hotel in Chitwan, we take a short walk tour to the Tharu village. Here we explore their lifestyle and culture.

After breakfast, we set out for canoe ride in Rapti River to explore aquatic birds. If you are lucky, you will get the glimpse of endangered crocodile-Gharial. The boat ride lasts for 30 minutes and you will proceed for exploration of elephant breeding camp where you will learn how wild elephant are trained to work for human beings.

Option: After canoe ride, you can choose to enjoy nature walk that lasts for 3 hours. It is complete nature walk tour to explore the tranquility of forest and witness the animal in their natural habitat. We return to hotel by afternoon.

After lunch, we set for exploration of floral and faunal species deep in the jungle on the elephant back. Great experience. You will explore rare royal Bengal tiger, one-horned rhino, sambar, spotted deer and wild boars.

Today we set for guided birdwatching trip with our experienced bird watcher guides. Chitwan National Park, home to more than 500 species of birds, is paradise for bird lover. We return back to the hotel and after breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu to end this fascinating trip. In the evening, join farewell dinner hosted by Alpine Kailash to enjoy the successful completion of the trip.
