From Lukla, we follow the classical EBC route to Everest Base Camp and climb the Island peak. This expedition is simply beyond trekking in Nepal as it offers exhilarating climbing, trekking and cultural experience at one go. Climbing in Island peak takes you to the summit of 6,189m offering you great sense of achievement that you have dreamt of.
Although, Island peak climbing does not require any technical skills, expeditioner must have ability to walk for 6-7 hours on rugged mountain terrain. Island peak difficulty is rated as “Alpine PD+” but you can easy up the expedition by spending more time on mountains. It is suitable for both novice and experienced trekkers. We suggest this trip for physically fit person with sound health and strong determination. The best time of the year for best Island expedition is from (March to May) during spring and (September to November) during autumn.
