Island Peak Climbing with Everest Base Camp Trek is probably the great combination of trekking and mountaineering in Nepal at one go. This exotic trip takes you through some of astounding landscapes and Sherpa settlements to one most admired destination of Nepal i.e. Everest Base Camp (5,357m) & Island Peak (6,189m). Moreover, Island Peak Climbing and Everest Base Camp trek allows the sightseeing of UNESCO designated world heritage sites at Kathmandu, hiking to Kala Patthar for stunning view of Mt. Everest, Pumori, Nuptse and Ama Dablam and observation of local Sherpa’s culture, tradition and religion.

19 days Everest Base Camp and Island Peak Climbing itinerary begins with short Trans-Himalayan flight to Lukla, the gateway to Everest region. From Lukla, we follow the classical EBC route to Everest Base Camp and climb the Island peak. This expedition is simply beyond trekking in Nepal as it offers exhilarating climbing, trekking and cultural experience at one go. Climbing in Island peak takes you to the summit of 6,189m offering you great sense of achievement that you have dreamt of.

Although, Island peak climbing does not require any technical skills, expeditioner must have ability to walk for 6-7 hours on rugged mountain terrain. Island peak difficulty is rated as “Alpine PD+” but you can easy up the expedition by spending more time on mountains. It is suitable for both novice and experienced trekkers. We suggest this trip for physically fit person with sound health and strong determination. The best time of the year for best Island expedition is from (March to May) during spring and (September to November) during autumn.

Day 04: Phakding – Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft) – 5/6 hours trek

Day 05: Namche Bazaar: Acclimatization and exploration day

Day 06: Trek: Namche Bazaar – Tengboche (3,870m/12,694ft) – 5-6 hours trek

Day 07: Trek:Tengboche – Pheriche (4,200m/13,776ft) – 4-5 hours trek

Day 08: Trek: Pheriche – Lobuche (4,930m/16,170ft) – 5-6 hours trek

Day 09: Trek: Lobuche – Gorak Shep (5,170m/16,961ft) and hike to Everest Base Camp (5,364m/16,207ft) – 6-7 hours trek

Day 13: Pre climbing training in base camp

Arrival at Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport and received by our airport representative at airport terminal hall. Our representative will escort you to the hotel. Your climbing leader will meet you at hotel and provide short briefing about your Island expedition.
In the evening, you will join the wel-come dinner organized by Alpine Kailash at typical Nepali restaurant.
